I went to keep playing and it crashed again. The crash happened, so I closed out, and restarted. I read that it's recommended to not have autosave or quicksave turned on.Īnyways, I kept on playing for days, and it happened a few more times, but every time I'd just restart RTW and pick up where I left off. Thankfully, it autosaved, although I don't think I have autosave necessarily turned on, do I? I guess I didn't even know if it was an option. The first sign of trouble was well into the campaign, when I hit end of turn, all the factions did their thing, and right before it came to me, I got the "RomeTW.exe has encountered a problem and must shutdown, sorry for the inconvenience". I started a campaign and everything worked fine. I've done some research on this crash I have, but am unsure if I've done all I can.įirst off, I bought the game and downloaded it from a site called Gamersgate.
